Yale Journal for Humanities in Medicine!

Here's a link to an essay just published in the Yale Journal for Humanities in Medicine.  It's a journal where the human in medicine takes center stage and not the pathology.  My essay "Metaphor in Chinese Medicine: a Patient Narrative" is an account of an interesting case I witnessed while a student observer in our student acu. clinic.  It's about how we practitioners of Chinese Medicine have our metaphors for understanding patterns of disease or imbalances--we train years to master these skills and Daoist theories. But we need to pay attention to the fact that the patients have their own metaphors concerning their illness, and we need to listen to that story too.  Enjoy.  Thanks!
